Hoop Shooters Cadance and Abby Tenney, along with family members, were guests of Barre Elks Lodge on March 8th. Cadance and Abby represented Barre Lodge #1535 at the District Hoop Shoot in Windsor in January and both placed 2nd in their age group. They were unable to stay for the awards ceremony as they wanted to get back to Williamstown for their respective basketball games! Pictured are Cadance; Cindy Wedding, Barre Lodge Youth Activities Chair; and Abby. Winners of the District shoot advanced to the State Hoop Shoot, hosted by Barre Lodge. Winners in each division advanced to the Regional Shoot to be held in Maine on March 24th, with their expenses paid by the Elks. Winners at the Regional Shoot will represent New England at the National Hoop Shoot in Chicago, again with all expenses for the participant and family paid. National Winners have their names inscribed on a plaque at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Ma.
