SPRINGFIELD ELKS LODGE 1560 ANNUAL FLAG DAY CEREMONY

 Annually every Elks Lodge in the country celebrates Flag Day on June 14th with the history of the American Flag starting in the 1700’s.
 
    This ceremony is performed by the officer’s of Springfield Elks Lodge and area Boys and Cub Scouts.  This year the Lodge also handed out Eagle Scout plaques to two fine young men of Troop 252 in Springfield who had recently reached the rank of this high and prestigious level of the Boy Scouts of America.  Their Scoutmaster, Bruce Czwakiel remarked that both young men had worked very hard over the past six years to gain this rank.  These young men were, Joshua Aldrich and Richard Stokarski both of Springfield.
